From cast girl to call girl, Ashish’s models strutted to the soundtrack of iconic 1971 film Klute in thigh-high patent boots the colour of red-lipstick. Klute’s leading female, Bree Daniels, became Ashish’s muse stating to Dazed Digital: “I just loved her fierce attitude and sassy, cool sense of style in the movie, so that was my starting point” - her spirit ran strongly throughout the collection.

We saw the glamourised sex-inspired sporty silhouettes through the use of mulit-fur triangle bralets and boxy 1920 shapes. Sequins were sprinkled everywhere, on super-sized camouflage parkas and black sparkly runner shorts. Lace trimmed camisole dresses gave a nod towards underwear as outerwear and hems were lined with fur. The animal print garments went well with the femininity of the collection but it was stapled together which gave the softer looks and make-do rugged edge.

The pieces were a celebration of femininity and freedom. The 1920s and call girl aesthetic combined together well and reflected the freedom that women can have as Ashish told Dazed Digital: “I think women should have a right to dress the way they want and feel sultry and empowered”.
